Let’s see how to make these easy paper thistle flowers. So easy paper DIY for all of you. Step by step tutorial for crepe paper flower making – do it yourself.
What you will need to prepare
- Scissors
- Floral Tape (Yellow)
- Tacky Glue or Hot Glue gun
- Floral Wires
- Crepe paper
- Tissue paper
- Color pen
Now, let’s DIY paper thistle flowers with me.
Below is a template of flower parts with the sizes shown. You only need to prepare each sample then follow the steps below.
Step 01: Pistil of paper thistle flowers
Cut purple crepe paper samples size 3.5 cm * 20 cm and cut into fibrous piece. Then roll them into a circle and paste directly onto the top of the flower bud with Styrofoam. Use your hands to beat the finished pistil so that it looks the best.
Step 02: Calyx of paper thistle flowers
Fold 4 pieces of green crepe paper, size 1.5cm * 20cm and cut into triangular pyramid. Then spread the paper out and use a red pen to paint the top of the leaf. Use a glue gun to glue the green crepe paper over the rest of the sponge bud.
Cut 2 pieces of crepe paper size 4.5 cm * 10 cm in the form of triangles with sharp points. Finally, paste them into the bottom of the sponge bud to complete the sepals of paper thistle flowers.
Step 03: Leaves of paper thistle flowers
Cut green crepe paper size 10 cm * 10 cm and cut into 2 triangles. Then paste the two long triangular edges on the floral wire and cut to shape the leaf.
Finally, use the green floral tape to wrap the leaves into the stem to complete the realistic paper thistle flowers.
