Let’s see how to make these easy crepe paper Dahlia flowers with full stem and leaves. So easy paper DIY for all of you. Step by step tutorial for crepe paper flower making - do it yourself.
What you will need:
Floral Tape (Green or Light Green)
Tacky Glue or Hot Glue gun
Now, let’s DIY paper flower Dahlia with me!
Step 01: Bud of paper Dahlia flowers
Use a 2-layer tissue paper wrapped on top of floral wire to make buds. Then use red floral tape to wrap the flower buds gently step by step.
Step 02: Petals of paper Dahlia flowers
As for the petals, this dahlia paper flower has many layers of big and small alternating. In this paper tutorial, I will make 5 separate layers with the width as below:
Then fold the piece of crepe paper 4 times and cut it into deep saw tooth shape. Finally, layer each petal layer into the completed bud. Please note the small petals firstly, next to large petals. The layers should be interspersed.
Step 03: Calyx of paper Dahlia flowers
Cut the green crepe paper in a jagged pattern and paste it on the bottom of the finished paper Dahlia flower. Just follow my easy step by step tutorial to make it.
Step 04: Leaves of paper Dahlia flowers
The petals of this paper dahlia are similar to the rose petals we showed earlier. You can refer the easy tutorial to make paper leaf as here.
