• Crepe paper 140gsm or 180gsm (Italian Crepe paper)
• Floral wire 16 gauge green, brown and yellow
• Floral tape
• Hot glue gun
• Scissors
• Marker pen

Once you have gathered all the necessary supplies, you can begin creating your beautiful crepe paper sunflower.

Now gather the ingredients and start doing it.

Step 1: Cutting petals

It will take more than 10 minutes to finish a realistic carnation paper flower. If you’re not used to it, it will take more time.

You will need the following:

• Crepe paper 180gsm or 140 gsm
• White floral wire
• Glue or Hot glue gun
• Floral tape
• Color pen
• Scissors

Now, let’s DIY a carnation paper flower with me!!!

Step 01: Petals of carnation paper flower

First, cut a piece of pink shrug paper to make the petals 6 cm by 25cm. Then fold the piece of paper eight times, using scissors to cut the piece into four pieces to up to ½ of length.

After that, stretch each petal to reduce shrugging. Finally, cut the bevel around each wing and shape the petals to look like the most realistic carnation paper flower.

Twist the petals of the carnation paper flower inwards in a spiral pattern, doing the same for the second layer. Tie the completed petal with wire, and then trim the bottom to make the carnation paper flower look more beautiful.

Note: Use your hand to swipe the petals in many directions to create the fragility of each petal.

Step 02: Calyx of the Carnation flower

Similar to how to make the paper sunflower sepals in the previous lesson, you cut three green crepe papers with a size of 3cm by 10cm and 2 cm by 5 cm to make a calyx shape. Paste and twist the calyx into two different layers.

Then use floral tape to wrap along the trunk connected to the main carnation paper flower.

Step 03: Leaves of carnation paper flower

Use green crepe paper to fold into 8 parts, then cut small, thin holly leaves with a size of 1cm by 4cm. Spread glue to connect leaves to stems.

Finally, use a color pen to fill the outer edge of the petals to create a realistic effect.

Preparing materials for Paper Calla Lily

You need to prepare the simple ingredients as below:

• Crepe paper: White, light yellow
• Tissue
• Glue or Hot glue gun
• Floral tape
• Scissors
• Ruler

Now we start to do easy Crepe Paper Calla Lily!!!

Step 1: Stigma of Paper Calla Lily flower

Prepare a small piece of light yellow paper to stamen, cut paper into 8 inches length.

Use paper towels wrapped from the top of the trunk to the bottom about 4 inches long to thicken the stigma. To secure the newly wrapped paper, remove the glue with glue. Then continue to wrap one with floral tape.

Use the pale yellow piece of paper, twisted at the center, and then tap on the wrapped stigma. You will get the perfect Calla Lily stigma.

Step 2: Petal of Crepe Paper Calla Lily

Cut the white crepe paper into a 14cm * 14cm square, fold it in half. Then cut in half diagonally into a triangle.

Paste the edges of the paper into a funnel shape then stretch the ends of the petals to make them inflated and curved

Step 3: Sepal of Paper Calla Lily

Use floral tape to wrap from the bottom of the petal to the end of the stem. So you’ve completed a beautiful Calla Lily flower.
