How To Make Crepe Paper Myosotis scorpioides Flower -Step By Step Instruction

Myosotis scorpioides as knows as “Forget-Me-Not”grows on tall, hairy stems which sometimes reach 2 feet in height. Charming, five-petaled, blue blooms with yellow centers explode from the stems from May through October. Flower petals are sometimes pink.

Following is some of materials you need to prepare:

– Scissors

– Floral Tape (Green or Light Green)

– Tacky Glue and Hot Glue gun

– Floral Wires

– Crepe paper : White, Yellow and Green

– Yellow Oil pastel, Water Color

– Cotton balls

Step 1: Petals of paper Myosotis scorpioides flowers

Camellia will show you 2 easy ways to make petals of Forget Me Not flower from Crepe paper. 

Method 1: Cut crepe paper to size: then double and paste floral wire inside. Cut the strip into 5 section with 1/2 inch wide. 

Put the two ends in the middle, twist the floral wire, then trim the petals as shown above.

Method 2: Fold along crepe paper and then fold in small size to cut petals shape. Then paste the floral wire inside and continue doing the same as the first method.

Step 2: Calyx of paper Myosotis scorpioides flower

Bend the head of the floral wire to form a small hook to hold the coton ball at the top then wrap the sepals (cut like the picture) around the coton ball to make the calyx. 

Use a gun to glue the petals to the sepals and use watercolors to create the flower’s characteristic colors

Step 3: Leaf of paper Myosotis scorpioides flowers

Cut green crepe paper with size: 2/4 inch * 3inch then cut in half diagonally. Symmetrically paste 2 triangular patterns just cut onto the floral wire with glue and prune in the form of a leaf.

Step 4: Perfect paper Myosotis scorpioides flower

Use the blue zinc body as the main body to connect the individual flowers into clusters in a ladder structure with floral tape.
Finally, wrap the leaves in the middle of the stem to complete paper Myosotis scorpioides flower.
